Works wonders
I got so much hair from my aussie despite brushing daily. This comb reached that second coat perfectly! Also great at detangling those tough spots like behind the ears. Very sturdy and I suspect it to last a long time.

Excellent undercoat rake for thick double coats
I have dogs with thick double coats, so a good deshedding tool makes a huge difference, and this rake has worked really well for us. It reaches through the top coat to remove loose undercoat without pulling or scratching the skin, which is exactly what I want in this type of brush. The teeth feel sturdy and well spaced, and the handle is comfortable to hold during longer grooming sessions. I was able to remove a surprising amount of loose fur in one session, especially during seasonal shedding periods. What I like most is that it helps reduce shedding around the house when used consistently, and my dogs tolerate it well. That tells me it is not uncomfortable for them, which is always my biggest concern with grooming tools. It works best when used gently and in sections rather than trying to rush through the coat, which is pretty typical for undercoat rakes. Taking a little time gives the best results.Overall, this is a very effective tool for anyone with double coated breeds or heavy shedders. I would definitely recommend it for maintaining coat health and managing shedding.

I love these style rake brushes for long or thick hair dogs. I’ll never forget the first time I saw one of these rake brushes, I thought yikes, that is crazy looking & is it painful for the pup? Well no, it’s a fantastic tool actually. My dog Sabrina, bless her soul, as she got older her already very thick coat seemed to get thicker & more stiff, which turned into it knotting up easier. She was a flat coat retriever & had a double coat, which is what these rakes absolutely excel at handling. The way any other brush would not reach that undercoat, these rakes reach it so easy & pull any of that loose hair right out. It is not at all painful or sharp as it might appear, although I would recommend you not put excessive pressure on the rake spikes when using. Just brush the dog nice & lightly, the hair removes itself with this style brush. This rake was a lifesaver with my Sabrina as she aged & couldn’t handle the groomer trips anymore. I would let her lay comfortably & softly brush out all that excess fur from her undercoat & topcoat with one easy tool. When a double coat dog gets mats or knots in their fur, really any other brush is going to make removing those painful & you can’t always be clipping the hair at the base of the mat, leaving missing chunks of hair. This is the one tool I can absolutely highly recommend for any human with a dog that gets those thick mats or knots. You start at the end of the mat that’s away from the skin & hold the hair with the other hand to prevent pulling off their skin. Then you gently start pulling it apart with the spikes of the rake, working your way towards the dogs body as it falls apart. If you know, you know! Regular brushing with this tool will prevent those from starting too, as it removes that excess undercoat fur that causes the mats or knots to form at all. I recently adopted a long hair chihuahua, Bear. While he’s not as big or intense with the double coat & thick fur as my retriever Sabrina was, he’s sensitive to brushing & does have areas of his body that are quite thick. Any other brush I tried had him quite unhappy, so I ordered this rake again & once more it was a real lifesaver! His thick fur areas are so easy to get through with this tool & we’re both so grateful! It’s such a good price for this tool too, you can’t beat the value for something that’s going to make grooming your pup a significantly easier & more pleasant experience. Not to mention saving them from those future uncomfortable knots that would otherwise happen without this rake.

Good for Long Hair Dogs
Works very well with my mini Eskimoes but not great with my Corgi (his fur is very dense).

Works great, just as advertised
I used this on my cavalier King Charles spaniel and my golden retriever and it works great. Wonderful took to help remove that excess undercoat. It is easy and comfortable ti use. The comb appears to be of a good quality as well. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Fur-tastic Tool for Golden Locks
I recently discovered the Undercoat Rake for Dogs, and let me tell you, it’s an absolute lifesaver, especially for golden retriever owners like myself. This tool is nothing short of amazing – it’s like a secret weapon against the never-ending battle with loose fur!I’ve always been diligent about grooming my furry friend, but I was astonished to see how much underling loose fur the Undercoat Rake managed to unearth. It’s like a treasure hunt, but instead of gold coins, you find fluffy, pesky fur balls that you had no idea were lingering beneath the surface. This rake is not just a grooming tool; it’s a golden retriever’s best friend. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use, and the precision of the rake teeth ensures that it grabs every last strand of loose fur, leaving your pup looking and feeling refreshed. What sets this tool apart is its efficiency – no more spending hours with other brushes only to find patches of missed fur later. The Undercoat Rake for Dogs gets the job done quickly and thoroughly. Plus, my golden retriever seems to enjoy the grooming process with this rake more than any other tool I’ve tried. If you have a golden retriever, this is a must-have tool in your grooming arsenal. Say goodbye to hidden fur and hello to a beautifully groomed pup! Trust me, your four-legged friend will thank you for it. I can’t recommend the Undercoat Rake enough – it’s a game… no, make that a fur-changing experience for both you and your golden companion!

Not very effective for our husky mix
Got this for our husky mix who sheds like crazy and can get very matted. This is probably more comfortable for her but is just not nearly as effective as a different brush with the “needle” type style. It’s too skinny, the tines are too far apart. It pulls some hair but just not nearly enough. You would have to use this for a long time to get a decent amount of hair.

Great brush for thick undercoat.
This brush worked really well on my dog with a thick, always shedding undercoat. He loves to be brushed and I love how nicely it removes the undercoat with little effort.

This brush does amazing with my mini Aussie. It’s also a lot less pull on her fur then a regular brush so she let’s me brush her longer then usual.

This rake has proven itself to be very resilient and does an excellent job at removing my dog’s undercoat and any matting. Simply start at the back end of the dog, tip all the hair towards the dog’s front end, and slowly work in layers from the back to the head. This will steadily remove matting and knots even if they are close to the skin but can be painful so work slowly along each lock of hair and hold the lock at the roots on tougher knots. This process gets faster with practice and as the dog learns to be comfortable. My dog’s favourite part of using this brush is the belly rubs this brush offers and of course he makes frequent requests for this reward because the teeth on the rake are very thick, rounded and smooth. Very good quality, used frequently and dropped often and still as good as new.

Funciona perfecto y es fácil de limpiar. A mi perrita le encantó la cepilla bien sin lastimarla y la deja sin nudos especialmente atrás de las orejas

Es impresionante la manera en la que saca el pelo y que no lastima a los perros

I have used undercoat rakes for years on my German Shepherd dogs and found them to be invaluable for the double coated dogs. My current German Shepherd is a Long Coat girl, as was my previous girl. When I saw this rake with the double row of ‘pins’, I just had to try one. It is the best investment for grooming my girl that I could have made. The double row of ‘pins’ seems almost magical for the job and is effortless to use. One of my friends called in one day while I was grooming my girl and asked to try it. She wanted to know where I bought it as she wanted one immediately. I sent her home to try it on her Long Coat Shepherd and she ordered immediately. I would say that it is a ‘must’ for anyone who owns a double coated dog. Brilliant.
