How did we get our start?
Coinciding with the announcement of the Oxford Dictionary’s Word of the Year, the Danish word ‘hygge’ caused a Nordic trend. hygge is generally translated as “comfortable cosy”. hygger is derived from hygge. If you define hygger, it is to stay away from all stress and annoying things, spend time with family and friends, do what you like or simply be alone, as long as it makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.

Small but effective
I actually submitted a return request but never ended up returning it. My complaint was that it was most certainly not “ultra quiet” – it was indeed quite buzzy and loud. If this happens to you, hesitate. Don’t miss your return date but use the thing as much as you can. Mine got pretty much “silent” after a wait. Just sick it in a tank and test it out and if it’s loud let it run 24/7 for a while and see if it gets quiet enough.I now have two of these as they move plenty of water for my smaller setups and run very quiet. I use them in my office where I do regular meetings and generally need peace while I work, so the sound is very important to me.[ORIGINAL]I hope I just got a bad egg because many of the reviews rave about how quiet it is. It’s one of the smallest pumps in my fish room and yet, one of the loudest. It’s not screaming loud or anything, but it produces a steady hum and vibration, and it is certainly louder than my much-more-powerful pumps.I’m going to see if I can get it replaced and I’ll update my review if the replacement is as quiet as expected.

Makes the water go “woosh”.
Amazon shows I bought this a year and a half ago. It’s still working just fine. I used to have it on a smart plug and periodically come on. Now, I just leave it on, 24/7. I use it to keep the water moving in my 55 gallon aquarium. I’m not trying to create a super vortex of death current, just to move the water a bit, and help spread the CO2 a bit more (my diffuser is not far below it.)It’s still working just fine. Sometimes I get a bit of plant matter in it, so I cut it off for a minute or so, to let it fall away.

Perfect for my 40 gallon breeder. I got it to help with flow for Co2 distribution without blowing my plants and debris all around the tank. It also has an adjustable flow knob which is always a great feature.

Fine product. Unfortunately it does not fit inside the Fluval Spec V tank space – body dimensions were just within the range, the wire location and the bend made it an impossible fit. Too bad.

The quietest!! Have tried 4 others
I purchased a lovely little tabletop water fountain (organic water lily, green glaze, made of pottery) a few months ago. The pump became too loud after a short while owning it, but I loved the fountain SO much that I tried purchasing multiple other replacement pumps in an effort to find a quiet one. After trying 3 others (besides the one it came with) I finally found this one. IT’S SO QUIET!!! I keep my fountain on all the time now. I absolutely love running water and love the sound and feel of it in my bedroom. This is the best little pump for a small fountain.

Not powerful enough
It was not powerful enough to pump the water to make my fountain work. I was looking for a quieter water flow but downsizing the pump power didn’t do the trick.

I needed more water flow throughout my fish tank and bought this. It’s not the strongest in moving water but I do have this inside a 55gallon tank. So I couldn’t imagine how much flow you can get inside a 20 or a 10 gallon tank. It’s powerfully enough that anything free floating within your water column will eventually end up being sucked/stuck to the intake. It’s super easy to clean and I bought 2. One in the beginning 2025 and another towards the end of 2025 and they’re still pumping away and still strong. Definitely worth the buy if you need more flow in your tank without creating to much disturbance in your tank.

THIS THING IS TRASH — Don’t buy!
This pump is the third one I’ve bought on Amazon, to run my 3-quart capacity tabletop fountain. I keep trying different ones, being willing to spend over ten dollars for one. Well, this one ran quiet (as one *should*!!) for about a week. Then it got noisy, forcing me to unplug and disassemble my fountain, in an attempt to troubleshoot the problem. The noise went down briefly, but returned with a vengeance, then the pump died altogether.I keep my fountain super clean and only run filtered or distilled water in it. There was absolutely NO reason for it to quit within a month of purchase, outside of being trash from the beginning. Don’t waster your money!!

It was quiet and efficient for a couple weeks until the water flow was greatly reduced. Current is almost nonexistant. I tried checking to see if there was something disrupting the flow but there was nothing. Would not recommend.
