Great size for a budgie. Needed to take the little guy to the vet. Small budgie had plenty of room. The fabric is thick and feels like it will last for a long time. There are holes so there is airflow. Seems comfortable for a small/medium bird.

But I do have a lot of pet frogs and multiple lizards. And I like taking them places with me. I have been searching for a carrier that would not be breakable, as most “reptile” carriers seem to be. I decided to try a portable bird carrier with a soft body, so I ordered this one.I am pleased with it. I decided to use this carrier to transport my Uromastyx lizard places with me. It is actually a perfect fit for him, especially since they have shorter tails than most lizards. I didn’t add the mirror or toys, but I am keeping the perch in place for added stability. It does not bother my pet lizard.This portable pet carrier is well made from polyester material. The zippers are heavy duty and sewn in very well. The handle on top is nice and well connected and it has loops for attaching a shoulder strap. Mine did not come with a shoulder strap, however I have a few extras in a box in a closet somewhere, I am sure one will work, should I decide to need it.The carrier has clear windows on each side for viewing your pet without letting them out. It has a mesh window that allows for airflow and a mesh pocket for accessories, and there is a little zippered door on one end with one of the big clear side windows being able to open with a zipper for inserting your pet safely and cleaning the carrier easier. It has a little perch that adds extra stability just below the clear windows. The tiny zippered door is great for interacting with your pet without worrying they will be able to escape from too large of an opening, that the side window clearly provides.
