Might sound strange…
This use is a little off label, so don’t be like me, but I have an old dog showing signs of mineral deficiency. Muscle spasms, eating dirt, eating dry wall. I started giving her this clay block to nibble on after her meals. Spasms stopped, strange licking and dirt seeking behaviors stopped. No apparent negative reactions. She just eats a small amount of it everyday after a meal, but she’s very self regulating and moderate about it. I’m not recommending you use it the same way as I am, your dog could be very different. It sure helped out my weird old dog. No digestive problems. It also has a big cage mount bolt, two washers, and wing nut in the middle of it that could be hazardous to dogs, or your feet, so dont be dumb, take responsibility and take common sense precautions appropriate for your situation. But it’s just mineralized clay, it makes sense. Mine haven’t seemed overly fragile or breakable for you bird folks out there.

Trust Issues
My parakeets love it but hate quality issues arrived all broken up and Really don’t Trust think plasters are being added to some batches.! Small all eaten up but nibbled pecked largest purchases and gave up.

Vets Know Best
Recommend to me for my Hahn Macaw. The vet said to buy this particular brand. So I did.

Your bird should really enjoy it!
My Green Cheek Conure just Loves these! But it take him two or three weeks when I bought the first one before he really liked it, but each night when he goes in his cage he goes straight to the product.

My older birds did not like it.
I had gotten two clay chunks because I have a macaw and african gray. I was very excited to get this because i know how beneficial clay is to a wild parrot’s diet and was hoping my own would take to it naturally. Unfortunently they wanted nothing to do with it. Perhaps if i had known about it way earlier when they were younger they may have taken to it. I tried rubbing fruits on them and soaking the clay to soften it up. Completely untouched. I ended up tossing them out. I recommend this product to someone with young birds or breeders. Clay is amazing for their digestive system. My birdies have taken to much of a liking peanuts and such. So this is the only reason why i give them a three. I do give 5 ⭐️s for the shipping and packaging. They wrapped it up very well and protected from cracking. I believe this product is great i just wish there was something to grab the attention of older birds.

Real Thing
This is real Manu clay and my Blue Front Amazon helps himself to the important minerals it contains when he wants. I simply hang it in his house and he has access 24/7 to it.
