Essay #6For this essay I chose to review the Purina ONE Grain Free, Natural Pate Wet Dog Food. This might seem really strange, but it is one of my family’s most purchased item on Amazon. We have a 100 pound Shiloh Shepherd at home who can only eat wet food due to her esophagus being paralyzed. We have this item scheduled for delivery every week. It is a “nutrient-dense formula” so our dog gets all of the proper nutrients and vitamins she needs, all while being able to eat normally. In reviews I’ve found, one person comments that “The grain0free food is one of Purina’s more sincere efforts to join the better canned food brands.” I really like how they are making an effort to eliminate having grain in the food because of how bad it is for the dogs. Ever since getting our dogs health issues under control, she has been so happy and healthy and we can give some credit for that to Purina ONE. The can is very easy to open, no can opener needed.There are zero fillers in this product which ensures that our dogs are getting all natural products which makes me more comfortable having to feed my dog this. The price is very, very reasonable as well. Being as this is the only type of food we can feed my dog, having to buy it almost every week can seem daunting, but we order it through Amazon and the price is very affordable for such a good quality product.Our dog loves it and howls before we feed her because of how excited she is to eat. This is a great product and I highly recommend giving it a try.

I have a 6 lb chihuahua, 14 years old, and she started having trouble chewing her dry food, so I wanted to switch to canned, but she has to have grain free. One of the reasons I never gave her canned before is because she would eat it way too fast and make herself sick. Which she did with this. So I ordered a lickmat from Amazon that forces the dog to slow down its eating, and since then she has been fine. She loves the food, and it’s a decent price for grain free and wet dog food.

What I like about this Purina One dog food Is it a doesn’t have any grains, it has 11 % protein, and it’s not full of gravy like some other brands are. My dog likes beef flavor and the salmon is good for him also. Unfortunately it has some chicken in it, but then do most. I’m a senior, and it’s an affordable price for me! I feed him wet in the morning , and then give him a piece of raw carrot and some fresh green beans. I let him graze on the kibble the rest of the day if he gets hungry. I really am thankful that this is a reasonable price. I hope they keep it!

Food floating in grease
I am pleased with the dry Purina one food salmon food for sensitive systems but these cans of food are not full of food. The clump of food is floating in bunch of greasy substance that doesn’t look like gravy either. This is supposed to be a high quality food being grain free also but I have stopped giving it to my dogs with sensitive stomachs because it looks horrible was causing them to eat more grass and have diarrhea.

I use these as a mixer/topper for the dehydrated food I give my dog (medium SS), or even mix it with just rice to give him. He likes the taste. I thinks he prefers the venison flavour, but this too very quickly goes down.
