Perfect nano HOB
This will be my go to HOB for 1-5 gallon and my first choice for a 10 gallon betta set up.I have two top fin 5 gallon tanks that I bought in an emergency situation. The filters they came with were intrusive, they hung inside the tank, and were garbage at their intended function. After about 6 months of dealing with them I searched for a replacement that would fit and work. The lids that came on the top fin tanks had a cut out for the filters so I needed something that would allow the lid to fit because we have a cat. After a couple hours of research and with cost in mind I chose these. And I’m extremely happy. They are very quiet, do the job they are suppose to and look good doing it. The flow adjustment is responsive and the design of the flow knob is easily serviceable.In my opinion with weekly water changes they are perfect for heavily stocked 1-5 gallons and may even be used for something like a 10 gallon planted betta home with light flow.

Perfect for a Top Fin 3 gallon.
This filter works perfect for a little Top Fin 3 gallon tank. I have a small tank set up for Corydora fry and needed a decent filter with an intake pipe. The filter that came with the aqaurium was trash, and I did not like it. It pulled from the bottom and kept sucking fry up. The first replacement filter that I got did not have a place for carbon or any type of sponge. This one is seriously perfect. It has a carbon cartridge with a sponge and also a sponge filter for the intake. It helps pre-filter AND keeps from sucking anyone up. The replacement cartridges are not expensive (6 for $9.99 or 12 for $14.99). It is very easy to clean and does not make any splashing sounds. It has a big enough area to add your own media, if needed. The carbon keeps everything circulating to avoid any funky smells.*I just put it in before taking photos, so the tank is not the cleanest.

Solid Filter, Would Recommend
This NICREW filter is pretty decent. It’s small and doesn’t take up much space in my tank, which I like (I have a betta named Bubbles, she loves it). The filter does its job well enough, keeping the water clean and clear. I haven’t had any issues with the flow being too strong or anything, though sometimes I wish it was just a LITTLE stronger, you know? Anyway, it’s easy to set up and use. (I accidentally put the sponge in backwards at first, but it still worked fine). It came with everything I needed, so no complaints there.Overall, this filter is great for small tanks like mine. The adjustable flow is a nice feature too, although I don’t really mess with it much. And hey, if you need to clean the media, it’s super easy and quick to do. You can’t beat that! Definitely would recommend this one to anyone looking for a reliable and quiet filter for their small aquarium.

Bought this for a 32liter tank and it does the job.Cheap compared to other filtersEasy to set upNot too much noise in the beginning but may make more noise later on so don’t expect it to be quiet forever.Great for beginners since you can adjust the flow as well.Pretty easy to clean since it’s a cartridge so you just clean it using aquarium water and put it back.

Perfect filter for bookshelf tank!
I just set up a 6 gallon bookshelf tank for a betta and could not find a good small filter for it. This one is so perfect! It fits the small tank very well and works great! You can easily adjust the flow so there is little current for the betta. I didn’t put the hose extension part on it so it sits perfectly in the short tank. If you have a bookshelf tank I recommend this filter.

Great filter for the price!
I can’t believe the power behind this little filter! My tank came with a filter, but I could not find the replacement cartridges so I threw it in the trash. Big mistake! I had purchased a Tetra and Top Fin filter and had to return them both. They ruined the live plants that were in the tank and almost killed my Betta. I tried this filter because of the reviews. At first, it was really hard to get it started, but once I did, it was a game changer. The water has been clear and well filtered, and my fish is safe because the stream is slow, keeping my Betta from tearing his fins or hurting himself. And the sound is almost nonexistent. I’m very happy with my purchase. I also purchased an additional six cartridges. They are priced very well.

Seller made it right!
It is small, quiet and works well. However, mine just stopped working after only 8 months. I always clean it well so I quite disappointed. Only bought another one because I don’t want to waste all of the filter cartridges I still have. ☹️Update: the seller was kind enough to refund me after I had to purchase a new filter. That does my heart good. My new filter is working perfectly and doing a great job!

Keep your tank clean and this filtration device works great
I like this filter as it is easy to assemble, it is safe for water not being able to absorb into the electrical box and cause major issues. It’s small and quiet. The filter functions well if you upkeep on your substrate or gravel. Otherwise you will have to clean and scrub this filter weekly (which I do anyways). I am thinking of upgrading to a higher quality filter that isn’t hard to clean and isn’t all plastic, which may be hard to find but in the mean time I am happy with this filter.

This product is one of the worst products I have bought. If you need my evaluation, I will give it a bad evaluation because it broke down in the first week and when I started using the product, it was very hot. I do not advise people to buy it and I advise them to buy any other product.

I had to replace my filter that I got as a kit because it was way too loud. I was apprehensive about this one because it was a good price, but it is the best thing I’ve bought for my tank! It is truly SILENT and it has a great adjustable flow. Very easy to use ans set up. Lots of room to add filter media

This product does exactly what I hoped. It’s on the quieter side, it still has a good bit of water movement. I haven’t experienced any leaks or technical difficulties with it.It is meant to fit on a smaller glass that doesn’t have a lip, however my tank is a little wider at the top but I don’t have any issues with it at all. It just sits a little above the top but it is still very secure!
